Homework Policy:
Homework is designed with the purpose of either practicing skills we have learned in class or as preparation for an assignment. In general, students will have math homework on Monday-Thursday nights. Students are also expected to read each night and to practice their addition, subtraction, and multiplication math facts. In addition, there are projects throughout the year.
Grading Policy:
Students received grades of 1, 2, 3, or 4. Receiving a 3 is a mark of proficiency based on fourth grade standards. It is possible for students to receive 100% on assignments and/or tests and still receive a 3 because the assignments are designed to demonstrate a proficient understanding of the subject. Students will have opportunities to demonstrate that their understanding consistently goes above and beyond fourth grade standards in order to work for a 4.
